Roped in my property agent bro, tkk, to check out fx trading and to test the strategies since he has more free time to manage.

I deleted the demo accounts leaving 1 with 1000usd for testing purposes and going live on the other.

scalping at 5M and 15M

SL 5-10pips

I read on currency trader that that's a seasonal pattern in the market. so far there's a 75% accuracy, that the EUR wekened vs the US in January.

We'll see how.

The next 23 trades after the first 10.

78%winning rate, with that it's a 110% profit using the $5000 starting capital in the first week.

notice i was trading in and out on 2nd dec, coz i spotted a 50% retractment.

Didn't use much of stop loss as i normally let the profits run. else stop loss at 20 - 40 pips in terms of 5 digits. The last trade of 200pips came when i tried my hands trading on daily candlestick only, a reversal and left it till the next day.

I need to be more patience, and not let greed get the better of me...

After readings and testing of platforms and busting of 1 1/2 accounts (fxdd and oanda). I made a new Alpari UK at the beginning of dec after exchanging sms with zc. Didn't stick to my plan of 10pips a day, Alpari is using the 5 numbers unlike the previous 2 accounts i had which uses 4, not too sure whether it matters but it seems that things runs even faster and it's spread is rather high. Here are 10 trades i did with the account, mainly EURUSD and GBPUSD pairs.

So i finally developed the roll of film taken using monkey's FM2, rather nice contrast even without red filters.

been playing with MT4 platform for fx trading, 5 pips daily still ok.. but not 10... if only i have the time to trade all day.

meanwhile, looking at different trading strategies and indicators, and also a stop loss plan.

the plan is to get 100% profit with my cap of $1000 in 20days under 1:50 leverage.

and compounding it for 10mths to reach...

watched 2012.. for the 1st hour i thought i was watching indiana jones or playing crazy taxi or what Sega WRC racing... nonsense... :p

and eventually he save the world.. or rather.. china save the world...

life has been somewhat trashy for the first half of the year..

in what ris low would have put it.. it's shingz...

that kindof explain why i was away for blogging, to really sort things out.

spent too much time on market watch and trading.

though i did make decent profits on hobee and the recent jackpot transcu.

it made me realise the importance of knowing how to invest..

only money grows money....

some may say.. "of coz lah now uptrend close eye pick also profit"

but then again... like in a rat race... each rat run differently.. :D

i enjoy charting..

and the recent links which zc provided really got me more interested in foreign exchange.

but fx is not for the risk adverse, knowledge and proper risk management is real important.

there was one strategy which i came across was to pick up 5 pips for each trade and do it for 3-5 trades a day. and that'll dbl his money in 50 trades.

for now... i'll just trade in my demo account for fx...

Went punngol marina with hj and his friend and friend's friends to wakeboard.. haha
It's my 2nd time there, after 2 years.. lol

too much pilots...
in the end we went out in 2 boats.
i was with hj, sharon, and her bf, xavier.

ladies first. sharon being the more lao jiao wakeskated first. hj and xavier were first timers.
wake skate is like wakeboard but without the securing leg holds, and is able to use it to do skateboarding tricks like kick flips..

with only 4 ppl on board, had more riding time compared to the last time i came.
and wakeboarding is still FUN!~
i tried wake skate too.. and it's cool!~ more control, and i feel i'm really riding the waves!~
whee.~
i'm going to attempt jumps the next time.. muhaha.

no pics, i brought my vivi with red filter, but have to wait till i develop the rolls.

bro, i did a check on FSL.
think my friend has lots of it that explains when he told me he was able to finance his car installments using solely on the dividends payout from his shares..

anyway, from what i read would say it's under high risk.. as it's mainly debt driven.. high leverage and the main risk is the default by the leasee.

plus they recently implemented Distribution Reinvestment scheme, making the payout ratio only 75% compared to last time is 100%

high risk thus high gain.
i think it's still worth holding till 2014, that's the nearest base lease term for one of the ships.
kay hian issued a Hold on FSL when we were in camp.

i'm looking at 0.645.

and STI to correct to around 2469 on monday.

haha... not referring to me, i'm referring to the love of never ending Taiwanese drama serial 《爱》 and 《意难忘》。
for those who aren't aware, these shows are 200+ and 500+ eps long... and would probably take 2 to 5 years to show as they're not shown on a daily basis... what the hell... is there so much to write.
or is it like the old old show 《保镖》... haha... bout this show, u probably have you ask your parents about it...
i hate long dramas... it really give you this sense of lost feeling when the show ends... plus I don't have the patience to watch long dramas.

nice fragrance rice and good chilli, but fried chicken wing and egg can't match with the ones from international or punggol nasi lemak. 3.5 / 5

i read that the ipoh hor fun there is worth trying... but too bad i didn't manage to recall which stall when i was there...

It was lobo friday, i've finished all my work on hand. Just online watching the market, msn-ing and reading the BT.

Mdm manager asked whether we want any drinks as she's going to 7-11, we shooked our heads.
she then came back with 2 cans of tiger beer... hoho.. normally i'd have a bottle during lunch on hot afternoons... but never during office hours.

I had a few mouthful while still busy reading the papers, manager started asking me questions...
like, what do I usually do during the weekends, what do I usually spent my money on... etc...

she said if her daughter was older, she sure intro her to me... hahaha...
then nevermind... she say she want to intro her 24yrs old nephew to me...

When was the last time you went kite flying?
for me... it's really been ages... hee..
i brought my sis's kite there, a triangular kite, damn fierce can... wahaha.. it's red in colour and has this butterfly ang gong on it... scary... reminds me of the show 迷离夜... lol..
i like the sting ray kite with the long tail... rmb the joke we had bout the flying sting ray.. lol..
and also bats kite.. nice.. bats in chinese symbolize 福...
ho ki la!!!!~ lol...

kite flying is really fun, running on the field shouting "UP! UP! UP!" while pulling in the line to make the kite fly.. lol.. crazy..~
too bad my line was short la... got to zhng so can fly further...
i brought my vivitar 22mm wide there too, this time zhng with red filter from my L-torch.. muahah... still haven't finish the roll of 36... keke...

the place is at farmway LRT there, don't worry, there're people selling kites if you don't own one. =)

A list of things to do during the holidays.
I finally met up with laoda and foo for dinner at bedok 85 after my last paper.
It's really been quite some time i ate at bedok 85, thou i think the meat balls are really norm like those found in ntuc, but the mee and the sweet clear soup of the soupy bak chor mee is already worth the trip... order from the "right" stall... =)

as for the satay and chicken wings, no fight... chomp chomp wins anytime.

But i'm still craving for that bowl of ramen... Argh...

sis said that my eyes started to show signs of fatigue... other than my usual dark circles, fine lines are showing too... omg... told her i'll get the eye cream once after exams.. which i did.
Got the Lab series Age rescue eye therapy and also the clay mask, the guy throw in a sample of their oil control daily hydrator which i tired. very neat product, it really control the oil by almost 1/2, leaving my face matte and a little oil on the T zone..
anyway, still using the Kiehl's moisturizer and toner which someone gave me sometime back..

the weekly macritchie runs did help me run at the constant pace as if we were running on the pavement route, haven't max. clocking in 11m43s. 3pts

the rock climbing we use to do, build a foundation for my pull ups. i did 11. 5pts

shuttle run - 10.1s 5pts

sit ups - 36 4pts

sjb - fail

cui.... lesson learned, always remember to do practice jumps before jumping the real one... especially if you haven't jump for a long time.. i somehow have forgotten the momentum.. tripped and fell twice.. a joke.. really...

Mid-night run.

A friend of mine ran for 3 consecutive nights, making my legs itchy.. haha..

Finally we are back at MacRitchie to run, after missing for 2 weeks due to bad weather.
The sky was at its clearest suffused with beautiful blue.
Usual attendance less QY due to lessons, with addition of 2 nice friends of angdao.

I'm very much interested in joining the sundown team challenge, 4pax X 10.5km. got adidas running singlet but no finisher tee coz not marathon, visor and medal. the design/colour for next year is nice, women has it's own 10k event and special purple singlet.

A gather but no run day + Evil YTF

so it rained since last night but that didn't dampen spirit nor stop our plan to run at Macritchie this morning. Not.
Eventually it started raining again and doesn't seems it's going to stop in hours to come. So..
We executed the bad weather plan - Breakfast.

Breakfast was YTF (yong tau foo) at a coffeeshop near braddell mrt, it's so strongly recommended by qy that we suspect she's a stakeholder of the stall.. Non the less, it did ignite my curiosity to find out why.

YTF has always been classified as "the healthier choice" among other hawker food as it's soup based.. with vegetables.. bead curd.. everything steamed.
everything item is home-made. and the serving and items are usually fixed.
One place which i personally recommend would be GoldHill Hakka Restaurant along Changi Road. do note that they don't serve rice or boon hoon here. the yam abacus and steamed lala are nice too. fresh. 9.0/10

While the YTF we had for breakfast, would be catergorize under what i call "Evil YTF". muhaha
They have around 15++ items there for you to choose from.
the home-made items are all? fried. deep fried. now, who doesn't like deep fried stuffs. oh.. even the brinjals are deep fried.
soup is sweet and sauce is nice too. qy says the chilli sauce is the key and must try wor, but be warned, it's slightly above average spicy.
i like fried food. 8.5/10
To eat fried stuffs under the name of YTF seems less sinful. haha.. that explains the long queue.

Suppose to do some track running in the stadium this afternoon with angdao, he wanted to do a time trial for 2.4km before his RT starts.
But due to the scorching sun, we decisively changed it to a swim in the pool instead.
It's holidays.. too much brats in the pool. left only 4 swimming lanes.
we did a no nonsense 20x50m swim before we call it a day.

was having lunch at the coffeeshop in the afternoon when i saw an accident happened at the cross junction just 6-7 metres away..
The car making a left turn crashed onto the biker... wah say~
saw the biker fly out... 3-4 metres.. fwah.. scary..
the biker looked stunned and was bleeding.. the ambulance came in 5 mins and took him away.

New Balance Real Run race review

After missing the 2007 run due to chicken pox.. i'm back~
for the 2008.. wee~

Did the run with angdao and rabbit.
haha.. we were almost late, everyone got on the cab at around 6.45am.
we got a very nice taxi uncle who gave us a tip on how to stop diarrhea.. haha.. that is to eat 2 slices of papaya.. cute uncle leh, i got a 20cent discount from the fare too.. haha.. nice.
rabbit changed his pants in the cab while angdao and i were busy pinning on the race bid.

reached at around 7.10am. road already closed and we had to walk in, heng got feeder bus to fetch us to the starting line.

baggage deposit was organised and fast, but at a price of $1 per bag.
Race started at 7.30am.
It was a Trail+sand+road run.
Route was ok just some bottleneck at the starting and at the gate.
Very little distance markers, i think only near water points and at the last 2 km...
the run became extreme grueling after the turn about... the sun is in your eyes...
another part was the soft sand.. tough run.. like running on a stepper machine..
clock in around 1hr08mins+2mins for gun time.

lots of cool 100 plus after the race, bananas and meal bars too. nice.
goodie bag this year, sling bag and a red tee and the collection was smooth.
resting area was inside the hall, air con. nice.
overall i think it's a very well organised race, if they maintain and continue to cap at 10000 runners it's definately worth joining.

MacRitchie run.
Recently there has been reports and forum postings on MacRitchie Reservoir Park, saying that it's old and dirty, which I think is very true.
Actually, upgrading is taking place over there.. it seems they're building a multi-storey car park. But I hope they do a major upgrading to the toilets.. adding shower cubicles would be good..
the shelters and the wooden benches also need to change le..

Ran at Macritchie Reservoir this morning again, this time with qinying and sis,
think we covered 5km assuming we ran at a 6min/km pace. The girls ran at their own otot pace of coz..

angdao slowed his pace this week, which is just nice to run in. but still have a tenancy to rev up his pace after a down slope or even on an up slope... -.-

didn't see any monkeys or iguanas this week... still sleeping ba..

Anyway last sunday, my friend angdao, jio to accompany him to go jogging. It's part of his plan to slim down.
ahh.. 跑步嘛，我当然义不容辞，爽快答应了。

It was my first time to run at MacRitchie.. a very scenic run outside, and a cooling greeny trail route in the woods. We ran the purple marked route, approx. 4.6km
As with all trail route, it's best to run in proper support shoes and watch your steps when running, else one could get injure easily running on uneven grounds.

Fwah.. angdao's pace was good lah.. cansoup chasing him..., think i hiatus from running for too long sia..
no doubt it's a good fun run.

A bit too much for us.. we just barely finish it..
If only the rabbit was here... muhaha..

话说农夫回营受训1个星期后，回到田里工作。
发现对面稻田里的菜似乎被修饰过，变得更亮丽。

因为农夫的田最近又走了一位耕田大婶，还有另一个和农夫同一稻田的傻婆也好像在找另一东家, 也想走了。
农夫太忙了，还没空去认识那棵菜叫什么名，

T-loan

as per discussion during in camp, gerald T-loan me his nikon FM2 since he's using his medium format cam most of the time and partly also to give me a try on manual slr.

so i went to collect the FM2 over at his workplace after work.
a combat fit, solid and sturdy build.. weighing in at half a kilo+
think he haven't been using for quite awhile, so the cam is rather dusty...
functionality, have yet to load in a roll.. hope it's in working condition...

did the 10km run..
in the end, only laoda and i took part.
peili did the 15km, didn't spot manage to spot her there but i spotted some other familiar faces..
the opening of the 15km cat increased the people who sign up for this event by alot sia..

after we finally decided to park not legally..
laoda went to the toilet
then i heard...

right... our cat started without us.. haha..
think we were bout 5 mins late.

anyway, it's supposed to be a recovery run.. so i ran at quite a comfortable pace at the start and up my pace abit near the end..

- you run pass the finishing point to make a U-turn back.. boo~
- final turning point for 10km runners were unclear..
- too many people finishing at the same time.. don't think the photographers snipe me at the line.. sad.. haha.

made a big mistake by going for a meeting which i thought was a gathering..
- someone who you're not really close sms u to meet for a "catch up".
- only you, and tell you that he/she knows a place with nice food.
- at the end of the meal, he/she tells you that the company he/she is with is just around the corner and invites you for a tour.

[Sundown to sunrise]

Ran the sundown night marathon with laoda last sat night.. all is good with no major injures, just 01 x big blister on my right 4th toe.. always the case when i ran long distance.. need to get a pair of Injinji performance toe socks liao.. they fit like gloves to hand.
laoda thinks our starting pace was a tad too slow causing too much pounding to the legs, but i thought otherwise. it was because we started slow that we could last longer. :D

We really took our time, enjoying the cool night breeze.
Stop to stretch at every 10km mark.. more after we pass our 28km.
oh, we were offered Gatorade by some stranger while we stopped to stretch at ECP, he was there as support point for his friend doing the 84km.

Rain came with CAT 1 status, seek shelter for 15mins before we continue ~~running~~ walking.
Day breaks.
Reached.
End.

After Action Review
Running through the park connectors, this indeed is quite a tough run.
- concrete path, DO posted that it's 5 times more impact to the legs than tarmac road.
- night run.. shag.. body sleeping mode..
- the route consists around 6+ overhead bridge slopes... like what the...
- insufficient distance marker.. very difficult to pace.
- too dark at bedok reservoir, with lots of pot holes... but thanks to the rain, the holes were filled with water and we were able to avoid it due to the reflection on the water.

I'll do standard chartered this year only if they are giving singlet, not sleeveless..

10km Passion run at ECP this sunday... haha.. relac only..
